We’re delighted to announce that our very own Fiona Spargo-Mabbs (author of Talking the Tough Stuff with Teens and I Wish I’d Known) has been awarded an OBE for her services to young people in the New Years Honours List.

Fiona Spargo-Mabbs’ OBE is a testament to her life-changing work in drug education, conducting workshops throughout the UK with the Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation – the charity she founded and runs. Fiona started the foundation after tragically losing her son Daniel to a one-off MDMA overdose, aged just 16. Since then, her passionate commitment to do all she can to prevent what happened to her son from happening to anyone else, has driven everything she does within the Foundation, and has undoubtedly impacted the lives of many young people.

Since awarded the OBE, Fiona has been busy speaking across the mainstream media outlets, including on the BBC Evening News, with more appearances to follow.

Congratulations Fiona – so very well deserved.
